Client Overview
A strategic public affairs consulting firm in the US wanted to free up its resource time by automating workflows. Since 1993, the client has been helping customers of the private sector with securing public sector procurements. As a technology partner for the client, we developed a work order system using SharePoint 2013. We even inserted the SharePoint list data in SQL server 2012 tables to manage data. Once we deployed the SharePoint intranet, the client automated its workflows - sending email reminders, managing orders, invoicing, measuring KPIs, etc.
Business Needs
The client wanted the application to Identify, analyse and document business and functional requirements for their real estate workflow management to improve efficiency and productivity of their workforce. The application needed to have a user friendly interface and single access point for workflow management within their organization. The client wanted below functionalities in the application:

Strategy & Solution
A dedicated team was set up to provide timely reporting by an account manager, project manager, senior designer, HTML developer, senior developer, and a testing analyst. This project was developed using SharePoint 2013, Dot Net 4.5, and SQL server 2012. Front-end The application needed to streamline the workflow for the client so that maximum output and efficiency can be ensured. Development Process The project was created using Dot Net that we integrated in SharePoint 2013. We connected the SharePoint list with Dot Net, and also created event receiver for inserted data in SQL server table for backup and send email by using window service. Our development process involved:
