Job Description:

The Peon / Office Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the office premises, assisting with daily office support activities, and ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Housekeeping

  • Clean office floors, workstations, meeting rooms, reception areas, and common spaces.
  • Dust furniture, equipment, windows, and other surfaces regularly.
  • Clean and sanitize washrooms and replenish supplies as required.
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of pantry and dining areas.
  • Ensure adequate stock of cleaning materials and inform supervisor when replenishment is required.

Office Support Duties

  • Serve tea, coffee, and refreshments to staff and visitors when required.
  • Deliver documents, files, and parcels within the office.
  • Assist in photocopying, scanning, and minor office-related tasks.
  • Support office staff with general administrative errands.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Report maintenance issues such as electrical, plumbing, or furniture damage.
  • Follow workplace health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum education: Primary School preferred.
  • Prior experience in office cleaning or housekeeping is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
  • Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties.
  • Punctual, honest, and hardworking.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
