An Issue in the Silicon Valley Update magazine had listed Top Twenty IT Outsourcing Cities around the world. The cities were listed in accord to the monthly turnover that is raked in due to the Outsourcing Work. The list is as followed with the previous years ranking listed alongside.

Cebu, Philippines ranks No 1 in the list of Top 20 Global Outsourcing Cities. It stood at Spot 4 in 2007.

Shanghai in China was Ranked No. 2 with it standing at spot 8 in the year 2007.

The capital of China, Beijing was at 3 position with 10th rank in the year 2007.

Ho Chi Minh City was at 4th position with 16th Rank in 2007.

5th position was taken up by Karkow in Poland. While in the year 2007 it ranked at 16th position.

Kolkata, India ranked at 6th Position. It slipped down one position, with its rank in 2007 being 5th.

At 7th position was Cairo in Egypt, which again ranked at 11th position in 2007.

Sao Paulo, Brazil was at 8th position with  its rank in 2007 being 15th.
At 9th position Buenos Aries stood tall with its Rank in 2007 being 14th.
Shenzhen in China stood at 10th Rank amongst all the outsourcing hubs with its rank in 2007 being 13th.

At 11th position Hanoi in Vietnam poised tight with its rank being at 12th position in 2007.
Chandigarh, India was at 12th position with its rank being 9th in the year 2007.

Curituba in Brazil ranked at 13th, while in the year 2007 it was ranked at 17th position.

In 2008 Prague, Chech Republic was 14th it flew up five positions from yesteryear’s 20th rank.

Pasig City in Phillipines was 15th in comparison to its rank in 2007 being 23rd.
16th position went to Dairen, China which ranked at 18th position in the year 2007.
Coimbatore in India was at 17th position with its previous years rank being 21st.
On the 18th position Santiago, Chile slipped down from its previous years 7th position in the year 2007.
Johannesberg in South Africa was 19th in its position with its rank in 2007 being 25th.
20th position went to Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Noida, Uttar Pradesh was ranked at 2nd position after Blackpool in the UK as the fastest developing IT Outsourcing spots.
