Looking to take over the Smartphone market around the world that is primarily dominated by Apple, Google in a move to promote its Smartphone – Android, announced that it will allow the developers to sell there application on the Android Market. The Android Open Source project was announced on August 21, 2008. Android relies on a Linux version 2.6 for core system services such as security, memory management, process management, network stack, and driver model.

Since then at least a 50 Mobile Phone Giants have stepped forth looking to use the Android Operating System for there Mobile Devices. The major ones being Neo, HTC and Lenovo too! These phones exhibit the high end feature like Expandability, PDA feel, VOP-wifi, QWERTY keyboard support and a lot more.

Time and again Google has made its ventures outside the traditional Desktop arena like Radio advertisements by acquiring companies like dMarc broadcasting back in 2006. But then it had to pull back out its troops on Radio Advertisements due to the slump in the market.

Google said in a blog post on Friday its Android Market will initially carry paid applications from developers in the United States and Britain, with plans to allow developers in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France and Spain to participate later this quarter.
